It’s National Haiku Day and here at Centurisk, we always enjoy a good challenge! So, in the spirit of the day, we put on our thinking caps to encapsulate risk management in poetry form.
For folks who might not know, a traditional Japanese haiku consists of three lines, with five syllables in the first time, seven in the second, and five in the last. It typically employs nature imagery and should contain a moment of insight. It’s comprised of two separate parts, a section that creates an image (usually the first two lines), then another that contrasts it (the last line).
A tall order for three little lines of poetry. We hope you enjoy the collection of haiku we put together below.
And if you have a risk management haiku you’d like to share, we’d love to hear it. Email us at communications@centurisk.com.
