Tailored for You: How Customers are Configuring RiskStar with Confidence

No two organizations manage risk the exact same way — and that’s exactly why RiskStar was built with advanced configuration in mind. Today, risk pools and states around the country are leveraging RiskStar’s powerful configuration capabilities to streamline their processes, align with internal workflows, and gain more control over their reporting and user experience. Whether they’re customizing fields or fine-tuning their reports, RiskStar helps teams work smarter and more efficiently.

Here are six ways customers are taking configuration to the next level:

1. Configuring Fields that Fit

One of the most common forms of RiskStar tailoring starts with field configuration within the software. Our customer care team has helped client organizations add new fields, define field types, set required fields, and place fields where they’re needed most. Customers have worked with us to add, rename, rearrange, and even hide unused fields completely — making the interface cleaner and more relevant to their team.

And it’s fast! When it comes to small tweaks— say, renaming a field or making it required — our customer care experts can often make the change in real time during a customer success meeting. This reduces the need for a string of back-and-forth calls or emails, getting customers rolling in virtually no time.

2. Creating Custom Views by User Role

Different team member profiles need access to different information and levels of security. Because RiskStar now lets you configure which features can be seen down to a user-level, customers are configuring which fields are visible or editable based on individual user permissions. This added layer of control not only helps protect sensitive data, it makes the system visually cleaner and more intuitive for everyone.

3. Building the Precise Reports they Need

RiskStar configurability now extends to ad hoc reporting, and customers are seeing the benefits. Because RiskStar users can report on any field, in any order, they’re now creating reports on-the-fly for their individual needs. This is helping them improve information-sharing throughout their organization, compare various data points, view specific property data holistically, and more. The flexibility offers instant benefits.

4. Supporting Policy Management and Property Inspections

Customers have been leveraging RiskStar’s configurability to ease cumbersome insurance renewal and policy management processes. By configuring RiskStar’s Renewal Report, which displays detailed insurance information for a customer’s catalog of assets, they can drill-down quickly to just the information they’re looking for, saving time and bringing greater clarity to their decision making. Customers are able to attach and print Certificates of Insurance for the assets, so they have the right policy information when they need it. The system’s Diary feature can also be configured to log inspections and perform the task management needed to track follow-ups—turning what used to be scattered notes into centralized, searchable records.

5. Scheduling Reports on their Own Terms

Speaking of reports, customers have begun to take advantage of RiskStar’s scheduled reports feature. Once they’ve set up and saved an ad hoc report in RiskStar, they can add an email distribution list and schedule delivery, automatically. No more repetitive report runs or manual follow-up. It can be sent at whatever interval the customer chooses – daily, weekly, monthly, etc. — to any email address. This lets customers spend less time focused on generating and emailing reports and more time on the mission-critical tasks they can’t as easily automate.

6. Enhancing Knowledge with Streamlined Member SOV Reports

For organizations looking to enhance their member service, dive deeper into the details, and increase data accuracy, RiskStar offers custom Member SOV (Statement of Values) Reports. With a signed change order, our team can generate detailed reports for each pool member, showing that member’s property, its square footage, the scheduled values by item, any modeled contents values… whatever information the pool chooses to share, in any order. Verifying information becomes so much easier when you can view it holistically. For risk pool professionals who have to dedicate time to combining spreadsheet data to get a complete picture of their member SOVs, these reports can save hours of tedious data manipulation!

7. Integrating with RMIS, In-House Systems, or AI Tools

RiskStar integrations expand the power of customers’ risk management systems, removing data siloing struggles, and increasing user knowledge in a holistic and streamlined way. RiskStar becomes the system of record for property data, uploading fresh information to RMIS systems so everyone stays on the same page. In-house systems connect with RiskStar, giving users a broader, more complete picture for underwriting, policy management, risk planning, and administration. Lastly, AI tool integrations can become the finishing touch to speed workflows and gather additional information, transforming tedious tasks into easier-to-manage processes. At Centurisk, we’re here to put the data customers need most at their fingertips!

Configuration = Efficiency + Flexibility

At its core, RiskStar’s configurability means customers have the powerful opportunity to align their software system with their risk-management processes. By shaping the system around your workflows — not the other way around— your experience becomes more intuitive, you streamline operations, and you save time with every step.
